France wins UNESCO presidency after the withdrawal of the United States and Israel.

Former French Minister of Culture Audrey Azoulay won the post of Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after the final vote of the Executive Board of the Organization on Friday, 13 October 2017.

 In this way, the candidates of Egypt and Qatar lost this tour after a struggle for the post has not been without the quarrels and tension between the two countries on the official and popular levels.

 This came only a few days after the United States announced its withdrawal from the international organization followed by Israel with the same position.
