The UNESCO Chair, Deakin Distinguished Professor Fethi Mansouri, was honoured to welcome the EU Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Gabriele Visentin, to deliver a presentation at Deakin University this month.
Addressing an audience of students, staff and members of the wider community, Ambassador Visentin reflected on the value of keeping dialogue open in times of global uncertainty, the enduring strength of shared democratic values, and the critical role of cooperation between regions such as Europe and Australia.
Professor Mansouri had the opportunity to facilitate a lively discussion after the Ambassador’s presentation.
