A new article written by Professor Fethi Mansouri reflects on why Australia stands at a Crossroads and the path we choose will determine the future of multiculturalism. Mansouri writes:

The story of modern Australia is a story of migration — successive waves of migrants that built on the millennia-long history of the diverse cultures of First Nations people. Despite the ongoing challenges of achieving justice for and reconciliation with Indigenous Australia, generations of newcomers have helped build prosperity, fuel innovation and enrich our cultural fabric. Multiculturalism remains one of the nation’s greatest achievements. Yet today, social cohesion is under real strain.
